 SHIPPING INFO - CURRENT POLICY (as of 7/15/09)

8/20/09 Advisory: Riverside Wines is currently holding Federal Express Ground wine shipments until Monday August 24th, as the temperatures in our area approach 95 degrees.

Thank you for choosing Riverside Wines.  Please take notice that Riverside Wines uses only 100% recycled materials in our efforts to phase out harmful synthetic petroleum based shipping products currently used by other wine stores and vineyards.

RiversideWines.com recommends to all our customers that all wine purchased from our Website should be allowed to settle in cellar-like conditions for up to 2 weeks after FedEx delivery.  If the bottle is traveling 50 miles or 3000 miles, the vibrations of the delivery truck have a tendency to give each bottle a little shock.  If you let the wine settle on its side, in the recyclable packing materials we provide, the wine will be settled and ready to drink.

AN ADULT OVER THE AGE OF 21 IS REQUIRED AT DELIVERY TO SIGN FOR ALL SHIPMENTS CONTAINING ALCOHOL.  RIVERSIDE WINES ADVISES OUR CUSTOMERS TO ALWAYS SHIP TO A BUSINESS ADDRESS, AS HOME DELIVERY CAN OCCUR BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9AM-5PM.

Delivery Policy
You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase wine.  By placing your order you have represented to Riverside Wines that you are at least 21.  All wines delivered must be received by an adult of legal drinking age.  Many customers choose to have their order sent to a business address (such as your workplace) so that an adult is present to sign for it. If an order is sent to a home address and an adult is not present, FedEx will try to deliver twice more on consecutive business days. FedEx will then leave a door tag so that the customer can call to arrange pick up of their package at the local FedEx facility. FedEx will hold all packages for five days, so long as a customer tells them that they are coming to pick up their package. If the customer does not contact FedEx, or if the package is not picked up within five days, FedEx will return the package to us.  If we need to re-deliver any packages, a Federal Express shippment charge will be issued.

We offer 3 shipping options:

  1. Fed Ex Ground Service - approximately 2-5 business days in transit
  2. Fed Ex 2nd Day Air - 2 business days in transit (charges apply)
  3. Fed Ex Next Day Air - 1 business day in transit (charges apply)

An e-mail will immediately acknowledge receipt of your order, while a second email will confirm your order has been processed and is prepared for shipment. We will contact you by the end of the next business day if there is any problem with your order. While we make every effort to show accurate product listings on our Website, Riverside Wines is not responsible for typographical, pricing errors, and omissions. Thank you for your understanding.

Many states restrict the shipment of wine. Please accept our apologies if we are unable to ship to your area. We cannot ship to the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota. Carrier and Delivery Schedule
Orders placed will ship within the next 2 business days.  Faster shipping options may be available.  If there will be a delay longer than that, we will contact you immediately via e-mail.  We ship Ground, Next Day Air, and 2nd Day Air via FedEx: • Ground Service - approximately 1-6 business days in transit • 2nd Day Air - 2 business days in transit • Next Day Air - 1 business day in transit.  During times of extremely hot or cold weather, we recommend using 2nd Day or Next Day shipping to avoid having your order be exposed to the extremes of hot and cold for an extended period in transit.
 
Heat/Cold Temperature Note: We are not responsible for wine that arrives damaged due to heat or cold, so please plan accordingly when you choose your shipping option. If you are concerned about the weather in your area please e-mail CustomerService@RiversideWines.com.
 
Return Policy
Riverside Wines is committed to 100% customer satisfaction! If there is any problem with your order, please e-mail us at CustomerService@RiversideWines.com immediately. Any orders that are returned due to a reason other than the product is the wrong product or the wine is tainted will be subjected to a 15% restocking fee. In addition, if returning a bottle that is tainted, the cork must be put back keeping all the contents in the bottle before it is returned to us in order to receive a replacement bottle. Riverside Wines will arrange to have the package picked up and returned to us for inspection. Once the package is returned to us, we will inspect the contents and then send out a replacement package to you. Please re-pack the wine and a copy of the original sales receipt and send it to Riverside Wines Attn: Returns 45 Main Street, High Bridge NJ 08829.
 
A Note on Older Vintages & Collectable Wines: All wines with a vintage older than 2004 are sold as-is, and the price of the wine reflects this policy.  Note that ALL of our wine is stored professionally in our climate controlled cellar, however, we cannot be responsible for the quality of wine found in older vintages. Credit Card/Billing Information
Orders placed on RiversideWines.com are not final. Your credit card is not charged automatically. A charge is put on your credit card after the product has been packed and the order is deemed complete. Please note that all credit cards are verified. You must provide a billing address that corresponds to the credit card you are using. If the billing address does not match the credit card you will be informed and the order will not be processed until we hear from you.

Legal Disclaimer
Title to, and ownership of, all wine passes from Riverside Wines to the purchaser in the State of New Jersey and the purchaser takes all responsibility for the shipping it from New Jersey to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the wine, Riverside Wines is providing a service to, and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service from Riverside Wines, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of wine and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.
